All material on Troop 457 of the Boy Scouts of America is copyrighted (©)  by either the Troop, the Boy Scouts of America, or by the author. This  copyright notice is designed to protect the Troop and our readers from unintended copyright violations. We hope that our site is used openly and  actively as a source of information.



Permissions to use our material

Educational Use
 
We extend the following permissions to Troops, District, Council, or National web sites in the Boy Scouts of America program that may wish to use material from our web site:

  1. Links to any document, whether signed or unsigned, on any part of  the Troop website
  2. Any unsigned documents may be reproduced in whole or in part unless otherwise stated.
  3. Documents containing the byline or signature remain the  copyrighted material of the author(s) (scout(s), parents, troop leaders, or  troop committee members. They may not be reproduced in any media in whole or  in part without specific written permission from the author.
  4. Graphic images at our sites are created by Troop authors,  purchased from clip art collections, or copied from public-domain archives.  Please contact the Troop Scoutmaster or Committee Chair before using any  graphics from our site.

Commercial Use
 
Individuals and magazines, trade journals, books, and other print or electronic media that are sold or are published for profit must obtain  permission to reproduce any part of any document on any of our web sites. 
 
Permission for any unsigned document or any document for which specific  copyright is claimed must be obtained in writing from the Troop Committee of  Troop 457.

Permission for any signed document must be obtained from the author. If  author contact information is not provided on the page, contact the Scoutmaster of Troop 457.
