Parents can fundraise for their son's Scout Account simply by registering
Did you know that parents can also earn money at our fundraisers, for their son's scout account? To be eligible, a parent must be registered as
an Adult with the BSA. Registering is easy; simply follow these steps:
- Take the free Youth Protection training.
Go to www.myscouting.org and create an account, then click on E-Learning and take the Youth Protection training. Upon completion, print a certificate of completion. Proof of
Training is a new requirement from BSA for 2010.
- Fill out the Adult registration form.
Blank forms will be available at troop meetings. The BSA Adult registration fee is only $15 (the fee is prorated; the BSA year going from Mar 1 to Feb 28).
- Turn in the form, training certificate, and check for registration fee to Elaine Dew or Rick Amori. Once Council approves your application, you're officially registered.
There are great fundraisers coming this fall, including the Saline Fair Pop & Popcorn sale, so get your registration in soon to take advantage of these opportunities. Please direct any questions on
this policy to Rick Amori, Committee Chair.
