Uniform
Each Scout must have an official Boy Scout uniform.
The Field uniform - Official BSA (Also known as Class A)
Shirt—khaki, long or short sleeve with American Flag patch and red shoulder loops
Patches: Great Sauk Trail Council Strip Troop number 457 (can be purchased from Adv. Chair) Patrol mascot patch
World Crest Rank patch
Leadership position patch (if applicable) Note: Arrow of Light patch may be worn on shirt
Patch placement is illustrated in the Boy Scout Handbook
Neckerchief and slide (optional)
Scout Hat—BSA ball cap style is troop’s official hat (optional)
BSA belt—green web or other BSA belt
Pants—olive green BSA pants or shorts
Socks—BSA with shorts; dark or BSA with pants

Activity Uniform - Troop (Also known as Class B uniform)
Red Troop 457 t-shirt or sweatshirt (ordered every year by troop)
Plain red t-shirt can be used if custom shirts are not available
BSA uniforms can be purchased locally at the Ann Arbor Scout Shop , Dunham’s, mail-ordered through J.C. Penney, or purchased Online at http://www.scoutstuff.org
Uniform Exchange
The troop maintains a uniform exchange and encourages Scouts and Scouters to use it, both for obtaining uniform items as needed as well as recycling items that no longer fit or used. Please
launder items before donating them.
Equipment
The troop furnishes tents, patrol cooking gear and a number of other shared items. Each Scout should have their own personal gear: See the list of stores that provide discounts for Scouts.

All personal gear should be marked with the Scout’s name. The troop is not responsible for loss or damage to personal gear.
